Abram Chasins plays Chopin A collection of Chopin masterpieces by Abram Chasins, Josef Hoffman's pupil. He is also famous as a composer and author of "The Pianist Speaks". Chasins' Chopin is characterized by its masculine and dynamic feel. The large-scale, orthodox virtuoso-type performance inherited from his master is wonderful. His self-produced piano pieces from his SP recording days are preserved in HMV, but LP records of his Chopin performances are extremely rare. A highly recommended album where you can get a good idea of the characteristics of Chasins from the large-scale selection of Chopin's works. All of the songs are magnificent performances, but the "Heroic Polonaise" and "Impromptu No. 2'' are especially worth listening to. He also recorded a piano duo with his wife, Constance Keene (SKRP 33009). 【収録曲】 01. Scherzo No.3 in C# minor, Op.39 7'28" 02. Impromptu No.2 in F#, Op.36 5'39" 03. Ballade No.3 in A-flat, Op.47 7'17" 04. Polonaise No.6 in A-flat, Op.53 6'47" 05. Fantasie in F minor, Op.49 12'42" TOTAL TIME : 40'13"
妻であるConstance Keene (SKRP 33009) とのピアノデュオのレコードも残している。 (フォーマット: CD-R, 1950年代モノラル録音、DSDトランスファー、32bit192kHzマスタリング)
