This CD reissue series is the culmination of Leschetizky's research, reissuing historical recordings by his student pianists in an anthology of five CDs and a volume for each pianist. The second volume contains performances by six pianists born in 1878 and 1878. It includes a previously unreleased SP recording of the piano poet Gablirowitsch, a broadcast recording of all movements of the "Moonlight Sonata" by Eisenberger, Mark Hamburg, who was described by his teacher Leschetizky as "the closest resemblance to Anton Rubinstein's playing," and Hermann Ostheimer, who studied with Leschetizky and his assistant Marguerite Melville.
