To honour the legacy of Henri Gil-Marchex, this release offers a complete collection of his 1927 electrical Columbia SP recordings together with radio broadcasts of his own compositions, provided by Meloclassic—an invaluable document for anyone interested in the history of Western music in Japan.
For this reissue, we have newly added recently discovered, previously unreleased recordings: Debussy’s Golliwogg’s Cakewalk, three works by Chopin, and a Schubert piece, all restored and re-edited.
