These historically significant recordings were captured for Deutsche Grammophon between World War II and the mid-1950s.
Károlyi’s youthful brilliance shines through his elegant touch, refined phrasing, and supple, expressive rhythm.
Featured recordings include:
– Chopin: Nocturne No.1 in B-flat minor, Op. 9-1; Nocturne No.7 in C-sharp minor, Op. 27-1; Ballade No.1 in G minor, Op. 23; complete Impromptus, and more.

このたび、ショパン国際コンクール入賞者、ユリアン・フォン・カーロイによる貴重な録音が収められたCD
「ユリアン・フォン・カーロイ：ショパン＆リスト 独グラモフォン 78rpm 初期録音集（1943～1954）」が、
Sakuraphon Sound Storeより発売されました。
本作品は1943年〜1954年頃にかけてドイツ・グラモフォンに残された音源を収録しており、
カーロイの軽やかで洗練されたタッチ、気品あるフレージング、そしてしなやかで情感豊かなリズムを味わうことができます。
